- Starting gold for 2nd level is 1k. This cannot be spent on magic items, but may be used to purchase potions.
- General Adventuring Gear.
- All characters start with a special item, be it a sword, belt, armor, or something different. This item will gain item experience each session that you may spend to upgrade the item in question, adding bonuses to stats, removing penalties, reducing weight, whatever fits your character. These bonuses are only usable in your own hands though, unless you wish one of your upgrades to change this. Many people in the world have such an item and as the party acquires the items of other people they may be broken down for various components and ingredients that will can be used to further upgrade your items. These items have increased durability and are more resistant to being destroyed then items of the same kind.
